Have a big problem with anyone telling the truth, don't ya?

Do you have even a clue what the word allegedly means? A word that figures prominently in the article you cited?

Walter Cronkite should be hailed as a hero for trying to expose the lying BS the perpetrators of that needless, purposeless war tried to spread.

Collaborate?

Seems like pretty much SOP in the new business...

...even if the "informant" was one hundred percent accurate.

He was just trying to defend the Constitution, along with all the protesters - something the military had taken a sworn oath to do.

With the possible exception that Cronkite's actions didn't kill thousands of troops unnecessarily to save his political ass.

Unless you can prove otherwise, of course.

I'll be right here when you find the link.

Don't hold your breath. The only thing Walter was ever guilty of was not buying the tripe the government was selling at the time

No surprise that gets the NeoConfused up in arms.

I think he should've gotten a medal. It's the lying POSs like Westmoreland who should've been hung

What Cronkite did was far from the truth. He, like the rest of the media, discarded thier responsibility for objectivity and chose a political side. In doing so, they "changed" the truth to suit thier needs.

A famous photo shoot of Dan Rather tells the tale. In the second siege of Kehsahn, one military transport plane was shot down. One. Dan Rather and his crew shot that plane from many different angles to give the impression of multiple crashes, and then started his "report", "I stand here is a graveyard of airplanes at Kehsahn".

From that point on, the media in the US has become the propaganda wing for liberalism and has ceased to be an objective source of information.

Yes- Walter Cronkite should have been hung. But again, now that he is dead, being drawn and quartered and displaying his head on the flagpole of the capital would suffice.
