"When you have a pay czar in the White House who thinks that they have enough power and knowledge to set the salaries for hundreds of people in dozens of companies, in an industry they've never been in -- I mean, if that's not socialist -- if the government is the largest owner of General Motors and Chrysler, the largest funder of AIG -- they just nationalized student loans so they're now all 100 percent government program," Gingrich told "Fox News Sunday."
The gubment has ALWAYS had it's way (making the rules) when/if/how it gives out it's money. Why not salaries? Why should a gubment hand out pay a bonus for a negative balance sheet? Aside from that "Socialism" does not "set the salaries" it PAYS the salaries.

UAW owns a PERMANENT share of GM. GM is indebted to the gubment. FIAT owns Chrysler. They don't have to pay back UAW but they do have to pay back the gubment.

They federalized the student loan program for efficiency and economy, as in saving money, to the tune of billions, read BILLIONS, of $$$$. In the past the quickest way for a bank to make millions, read MILLIONS, was to make student loans with virtually no risk. Care to explain how that's bad?

The Constitution says NOTHING about GOD. It says "WE THE PEOPLE". The power to govern comes from "THE PEOPLE". Not God.

The Establishment Clause in the Constitution says exactly this: "Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion"......notice it did not say "of a religion".

Bible thumpers are constantly lying and distorting this fact. Sadly, their lemmings don't have the mental capacity to research this and decide for themselves.

But that would imply that he was correct once before, and that never happened.

Democrats are trying to impose a "secular-socialist machine" rejected by most Americans, an unapologetic Newt Gingrich said Sunday.

The former House speaker described Democrats as "secular" because those in power in government are beset by a "relentless anti-religious bias"; "socialist" because the Obama administration wants to determine salaries, own corporations and provide health care; and a "machine" because the agenda is being pushed robotically without concern for people standing in the way.

they've never been in -- I mean, if that's not socialist -- if the government is the largest owner of General Motors and Chrysler, the largest funder of AIG -- they just nationalized student loans so they're now all 100 percent government program," Gingrich told "Fox News Sunday."

"If you can get $757 billion out of the Congress and no elected official has even read the bill, that's the behavior of a Chicago-style machine," Gingrich added.

FOXNews.com - Gingrich: Democrats Want to Impose 'Secular-Socialist Machine'
1. It contradicts itself from the start: Democrats /= Socialists.

2. "Chicago-style machine" funny. Let's go back 100 years and see how many bills have been passed without looking at them.

3. It's Faux.

4. It's Gingrich
