Question Is Scooter safer in or out of jail?

Looks like Libby is headed for jail soon – four to six weeks. Guess the judge figured he was a flight risk? My thoughts are that he’s safer in jail then out of it. There are too many that don’t want Scooter to talk more then he needs to, and the world isn’t a safe place anymore for him. I believe he’ll start to remember more and more information as he has time to think and that’s trouble for this administration and political party.

He's trying to delay it and, from what I heard, hoping that Pres. Bush will pardon him.

I also heard on the news tonight that the judge has received many threatening letters and he's kept them in case something happens to him.

Sometimes I wonder just how civilized we really are...

Surely the President isn't dumb enough to pardon this guy...and risk being tied to him in everyone's minds...but then again if the past is any indication maybe he is that dumb.

Bush is stuck between two groups here. If he pardons Scooter – everyone will be upset and angry that he did it. Also it would look bad for Bush because he said that he wanted the person who leaked the information to be caught ~ I guess that would also mean to be punished for the crime.

If Bush doesn’t pardon Scooter – would Scooter spill his guts and tell more about the wrong doings of this administration and reveal more of the evils that had been going on? And there are those in the political group that thinks this was ok for Scooter and that George should give him a pardon ~ now others are mad at George.

I'm thinking Scooters going to tell everything he knows just to get even for having to go to jail.

Bush has got to be aware of maybe someone on his staff has made him aware of the reality that just because he pardons Scooter that doesn't mean Scooter will keep his mouth shut.

He better not be pardoned. He needs to serve the time like everyone else does.
