You should get down on your knees every day and thank the lord the country has people like Glenn, to save our country from a corrupt leader that has very bad intentions.. Two more years and he is soooo out a here...!
There is no evidence of corruption. You're making a serious charge with nothing to back it up (a staple of conservative media). This is probably news to you, but corrupt doesn't mean "doing something I don't like". I'm thankful for Glenn Beck alright, thankful that he makes identifying the least intelligent of society so much easier.

Oh, great. You watch one show, and think you have "proof" of Glenn Beck lies?
I know he makes statements that are undebatably false. The definitions of basic concepts is not up for debate. What he says goes against basic facts. "Revolutionary Marxism" already has a definition, and few of the people you and Glenn Beck apply it to fit it. Similarly, when Beck declared that Progressives in the early 20th century tried to destroy churches and the contitution, he had no actual historical basis. It's all invented for the sake of political attack. When Glenn Beck isn't lying, he's egging on his followers into believing things equally false but which he never has to outright say.

Have you looked at those that Obama has surrounded himself with, his so-called Czars, and other in his administration? They are by there own admission Marxists, socialists, and some communists. Beck has accused them of nothing that they havent admitted to.

Nice try. But you bombed out on the first claim. You don't listen to his show, nor do you have any clue about the backgrounds of anyone in this administration. You know nothing.
Van Jones was the ONLY person in the Obama administration to ever identify as a communist, and even that was only in the past, not the present. Maybe in conservative fantasy land the definitions of marxist and communist are so loose that they can be applied to pretty much anyone on the left, but in the real world, the definitions are already in place. I looked over the 22 cabinet level positions, and found not a single person who identified as communist or marxist. The czars (which are much less important than the cabinet but sound scariers so conservatives would rather talk about them) are also without anyone who identifies as a communist or marxist. So much for "surrounding" himself with them.

This makes me more certain than ever: the current conservative movement is completely detached from reality. They have their own definitions of words, their own history, and their own spin to everything, and anything not within their special reality is rejected. I've tried to be fair in the past, but it's becoming clear that rational debate is impossible with these people. They neither want nor need actual facts for them to make political attacks and try to push their own ideology. I'd have an easier time getting intelligent debate from a dog than from a Beck follower. I know that there are intelligent conservatives out there, but they get pushed aside by the Beck-types.

Pushing logical fallacies as sound arguments is as bad as lying. Do you know what a logical fallacy is? Do you have the intellectual honesty to admit Beck's shows are full of them?

What's his party? He happens to be an independent. It so happens the anti American simpletons are in charge of the asylum so they take the brunt of the criticism.

I'll take that as a double "no".

Okay, you're right. I went somewhere I shouldn't have and spoke when I really shouldn't have. I admit I was wrong. Thanks everyone for proving that. And I promise I'm not being sarcastic.

ALL those talking heads are entertainers. entertainers lie worse than politicians and used car salespersons. They all more often than not speak in generalizations. remember:
"Generally speaking, all generalizations can be proven true, including this one and the next one!
Generally speaking, all generalizations can be proven false, including this one and the previous one!"
You expect that the statement that any of these people tell untruths will be startling news to anybody?
I do have to agree, though, that it takes more than "In my opinion, that is not true" to convince me that anybody is a liar. Even if the subject is somebody who I am convinced is a liar anyway!
In other words, opinion isn't enough, you have to back it up with FACTS!

I think this explains everything:

YouTube - Glenn Beck Does Not Know How To Spell "Oligarchy"

You know, this reminds me of one of those "what's wrong with this picture" puzzles...

I am going to watch Glenn beck's May 17 show and analyze every bit and piece of what he says, and single out every lie, half-truth, spin, distortion, logical fallacy, and baseless speculation he makes.

1:05 Glenn Beck claims that we have "marxist revolutionaries fundamentally transforming and attacking the United States", clearly referring to his political opposition. This is a lie, as anyone who knows a thing about what revolutionary marxism actually is can attest. Glenn Beck uses "revolutionary marxism" as a scare term for general left-wing politics despite the fact that its definition is significantly different from the liberals and progressives that form Beck's main opposition. He then proceeds to state that they will "move us towards a global community" which is a pretty vague statement, but seems to be hinting at New World Order style conspiracy theories. Since Beck has plausible deniability on that point though, I'll be nice and only count it as one lie.

1:20 Crazy exaggeration ("worst set of circumstances and coincidences in human history")

2:00 Beck sets up a false dichotomy ("a situation in which only two alternatives are considered, when in fact there are other options."). He even outright states that "only one can be right". That's a logical fallacy.

3:06 Beck presents a "people believe this" argument (effectively his argument) in which he says that America's economy is getting worse. Now, the economy is far from great, and what will happen in the future is still debatable, but the fact is that right now, the economy is improving. The situation is delicate, but thing's are getting better, not worse.

3:14 Suggests that unspecified "radicals" are intentionally pushing for an economic collapse.

13:00 Beck states that there is 20% unemployment, when in actuality it is 9.9% nationally, and even in Michigan is much less than that.

16:30 Beck refers to John Nichols and the group Free Press as "Radical Marxist" despite there being nothing even vaguely resembling marxist philosophy in their practices or ideology.

20:00 Beck says that Obama has a plan to "merge churches with the EPA", but decides it can wait until next time, thus leaving actual context to the viewer's imagination.

20:50 Beck says that progressives (specifically, the ones in the early 20th century) made a concentrated effort to "take apart faith, churches, founders, and constitution" when there was absolutely nothing of the like practiced in the early progressive movement..

21:57 Beck claims the ACLU wants to "take things from our churches and rot them from the inside" which makes little sense, as the ACLU never targeted activity going on within churches.

After this, Beck starts talking about terrorism and gets rather incoherent, using appeals to emotion and speculation that can't be disproven because he's not actually saying anything of actual substance. That's Beck's trademark tactic: to get ideas into people's heads without actually saying them. By implying, hinting, speculating, and suggesting things, he can spread misconceptions and disinformation without being held accountable for it. He can just say "I wasn't saying W, I was just saying VV".

Factual inaccuracies aside, his show was riddled with logical fallacies, vague statements (mainly in places where the viewer's imagination would be significantly different from reality), and appeals to emotion. Beck is clearly an entertainer (and not a completely bad one; I got a few chuckles from his jokes) not a newsman. People don't watch him for news, they watch him as a form of support for their own biases.

So there you have it. I pointed out specific lies and fallacies, just like conservatives insist is never done.
Most of your lies are lies in your mind and the minds of people who think like you but you failed too much with your "proofs" since it was mostly your opinion.

You did a helluva job of pointing what you call logical fallacies but I am not sure we both understand that term as the same thing. At least you saw his show, today I think, although your times got a bit out of shape when you went to the 24 hour day time.
