Of course it is. Polls confirm that Tea Party militants entertain deep-seated racial resentment. In April, a New York Times/CBS News study revealed that most tea partiers tend to be over 45, white, male, affluent, and educated and think that “too much has been made of the problems facing black people.” A high percentage of them also believe that Obama favors blacks over whites.
A wonderful analysis of what fuels the 'Tea Party'.

Ummm....I don't think that saying “too much has been made of the problems facing black people" or that believing "that Obama favors blacks over whites" is being racist.

Talking about racial topics is not racist. When people call anyone discussing racial issues a racist, there lies the problem.

What about all the black people who attend Tea Parties? Are they racists too? Or, do they enjoy being in the company of racists? I seriously doubt it.

On the other hand, Obama calling Arizona's immigration law which he didn't bother to read racist is playing the race card.

That reminds me of comments made by MSNBC about the tea party. I wonder if the fact that MSNBC is ALL WHITE is proof that they too are racist?

Please. The people that write about the tea parties being racist are usually white and well-off people themselves. As JRTurner said, MSNBC hosts are all white, why don't they bring in some diversity?

Let's just drop the stupid race card already. It's like saying the anti-war protesters are terrorist sympathizers. Broad generalizations don't do anything to help one's position.

I take absolutely NO stock in any poll done by the NYT or CBS anyhow. In fact, I would tend to think that the reality is the opposite of anything they find in their polls.

I have said this before......without victims to exploit, the Democrat Party has almost nothing going for it. The deck it plays with is composed almost entirely of race cards.

The Tea Party is no more racist than the other groups out there like the NAACP, LuLac, etc.

Boy, so talking about "our first Black President" is not racist when it's the left, but if the right ever dares to discuss race or national origin, it's obviously racist, especially since the MSM repeats that only Liberals care about the well-being of non-Anglos, and that Conservatives would bring back slavery if we could.
