Many private businesses do discriminate. I'll bet the BET and the NAACP have an over representation in black Americans, and the VFW probably has very few draft dodgers and peacenicks, the NOW has an over representation of women, etc...
What Paul was focusing on was that the law is not clear enough about the terms "public" and "private".
How in the hell can Paul say anything when he admitted that he didn't even know what the law is!!

Ahh...I see. Maybe the club's patrons might not make you feel welcomed (as in "come have a seat at my table, let me buy you a drink), but the club owner cannot legally deny you access to the club.
I step into business establishments that are either owned or managed by people from different races/ethnicities all the time. Yes, some of the patrons have looked at me like I'm out of place. I don't care.
I recently had tire trouble and I went into a tire shop that had nothing but black folks in it. Some folks looked at me like "what on earth are you doing here?" Well, I needed a new tire and it was the closest shop. They sold and installed a new tire. I paid for it, and went on my way. No biggie.

You are complaining because some liberals think discrimination against gays is wrong. The private sector services the public too and receives federal monies therefore they should be upheld to any type of laws that pertain to society at large.
What the hell have gays got to do with this? This is a Constitutional issue about the power of the Federal Government. The Federal Government has illegally usurped powers not granted it. It is plainly stated in the Constitution that power not specifically given to the Federal Government remains with the States or the PEOPLE.

While the rest of the world is colapsing from socialism the libs are doing everything they can to accelerate it here. LOL When someone has the nerve to speak about personal freedoms they attack like rabid dogs. If liberals keep becoming more and more extreem we may see another civil war in this country, only it will not last very long because only one side will have guns.
Liberals are not irrational, you're just too busy demonizing them. They want similar things as you, but their approach is different.
The Constitution says nothing about capitalism. It certainly didn't anticipate that we would grant citizenship status to impersonal corporations and then let them write the laws in their favor.
People want government to solve problems because it's the only institution they have at their disposal. You think they're going to run to Walmart and ask them to solve their problems?
Without government oversight and regulation, the world would be one big toilet, kind of like the Gulf of Mexico right now.
If you want civil war, then you don't love your country. If other Americans are your enemies, then you're not much of an American. If those with guns win that civil war, I'm confident they will go on to create a country called Uhmayrika because they certainly don't know how to spell.
In short, government--that's me and you if you think about correctly--should be in the face of private enterprise to make sure that it does the right thing. Lord knows, they have no problem being our worst citizens.
Government is responsible for over 200 million deaths in the last 100 years or so.
