I do agree with what you have said here. This Marine is a complete idiot, but no harm, no foul, your right. And things could have would have gone a stray, and they did not. I understand these things happen, but i also think, that there should be consequences put in place, when things as this do happen. If not, things as this, will continue to happen, without, a blink of an eye.

I also agree with you, as tacky as it is, no one got hurt, and these situations, could get out of hand quickly.

Why would anyone defend such boorish behavior? The Marines dont want this idiot to be their representative. Do you?

No, no, no. The notifications are not Lionel's - they belong to whoever is logged in and looking at his profile.

Who is defending him? Certainly not I. As I said he is an idiot. But did he physically harm the the afghany? Did the afghany even know what the sign said?
Last time I checked there is no laws against being stupid. If there were the majority of party hardliners would have been arrested many times over.
Do I want him to be my rep? Last time I checked I had no choice in who the marines enlist. Do you?
This prank is equal in my eyes to throwing a cat in a pond. Stupid to be sure but no real harm done.
Do you really think given the life styles of the afghany people that this harmed this rugged individual in the least?
I tolerate more crap from idiots in the civilian world. For example being called a racist because I wouldn't permit a vote for Obama sign in my yard.
I didn't allow a vote McCain either but I wasn't insulted for it.
