Sure it is. What is preposterous is that progressives hated blacks and jews. Karl Marx was a self hating jew. Woodrow Wilson was a friggin' racist. And african americans are tripping over themselves to follow the progressive/socialists into their own demise.

Charles Darwin was a racist. Part of his "theory" of evolution is that blacks cannot be equal because they haven't evolved.

But religious, conservative Christians are bad for America.

I vaguely remember a high school teacher telling the class Wilson was elected because women got the right to vote and women were too ignorant to make a quality decision. No joke.

That may have been the truth. Maybe Wilson was better looking than the other candidate or had a third leg?

wait a min-u-et. Women weren't given the vote until 1920. your history teacher was incompetent. wilson was elected in 1912 and 1916.

He also set up the Federal REserve system and Federal Income Tax (SLAVERY). all the more reason to hate they guy.
He also had no respect for civil liberties or the First Amendment. His view of civil liberties and executive power was much like that of George W. Bush.

The only shocking thing to me is that beck doesn't idolize him in the way that charlie manson did adolf hitler.
If Wilson didn't have a (D) next to his name Beck would idolize Wilson.

Darwin never said that. In fact Darwin was a fervent abolitionist.

You're confusing Darwin with the "Social Darwinism" of Herbert Spencer which Darwin had nothing to do with. One can't choose who elaborates on one's theories after one's own death.

My high school history teacher made the comment about Harding, the first US president whom women were able to vote for. Harding was considered good looking in an "older, distinguished" sort of way, which made women vote for him.

One of the campaign slogans boasted, "He kept us out of war." There was a very strong anti-war sentiment in America at the time. Americans -- if Americans favored a side, they would have gone with the Germans, because Germans were the largest ethnic group in America at the time. Most people weren't paying attention; the Germans were. OK. So on the eve of asking Congress to declare war on Germany -- yeah, remember, he ran I'm not going to get us into war -- it was a month later -- I've got to give you the exact date, because this is amazing: 1916, he was running for election. 1917, his inaugural address, March 4, 1917, he said we're going to pursue peace and even though we have been injured by the effects of war, we're not going into war. That was March 4, 1917. April 13, 1917, America goes to war.
Roy?
He was correct as all Billy Hell except he failed to mention all the submarine attacks on American ships in the period between those two dates. You can pick all of them up at the bottom of the part you quoted from MM. Sure enough it is all there.

Sure enough the main campaign slogan was "He Kept Us Out of War" and he sure did, which allowed the Germans to accomplish so much more than if we had gone in earlier.

What do you know about the CPI that Wilson created to affect public opinion during the war? Who were the main men in the group? I will tell you so you can Google them to see something other than what MM says. George Creel, Walter Lippman, and Edward Bernays. All were newspapermen who knew how to work public opinion. How about which of them Goebbles used as his model for propaganda distribution? Maybe you will learn that at Google.

You almost let yourself get taken in. I am proud of you for taking care of that stuff before I had to.
