Grow up and realize that we have a problem with our borders, the least of which are hard working, honest immigrants trying to cross over and start a new life. I don't mind surrendering my all important rights for 1 second to answer a simple "yes" or "no" question. You're making mountains out of mole hills.
The Bill of Rights is not a "mole hill"

Tell me something because we can go around and round about this

How is this not papers please?

Why you also dont seem to want your privacy either? Are you a socialist? Because you are all for having no privacy all for having limited freedom.

You enabling this bigger gov is all that is wrong with this country.

Why dont you care more about your freedom then you do. I dont get it. Oh well.

While you dont care about your freedom I care about mine and if you dont want yours then please dont get in the way of me wanting mine.
You just do not get it.. They are there for the public safety, trying to keep drug runners and Illegal Immigrants from crossing. It's no issue for you to declare that you are an American citizen and be on your way. we should get rid of police on the streets as well.. they "invade" my privacy (while driving down a public road) by stopping me at DUI checkpoints, SMOG checkpoints and registration checkpoints. the whole purpose of this is not to harass the law abiding citizen, but to keep them safe. The only person here thats not getting it is you, while driving on a public road LE has every right to enforce the laws and try to keep our countrymen safe. Now if they were harassing law abiding citizens for no reason, detaining you for fun.. well I could see your point.

If he was being pulled over for speeding ( able to verify the person was speeding) Then ask if they are legally here. If you are arrested then ask if the person is here legally.

I dont support agents being able to just stop you and ask this.

Are you also against DUI checkpoints?

The maker of the film is a complete A-hole. "I don't want to talk with your supervisor. I want to go on my way." If you want to go on your way why do you intentionally drive through a checkpoint and then harrass the officers who are engeged in the legal execution of their duty? Pathetic....

Do you know that Ice agents board trains running to and from Canada to check peoples identification? The trains can be 40 miles from the border. They check everyone on the train and arrest those whose papers are not in order to be in the US legally. Seems we don't hear a lot about this, but it is no different than along the southern border of the US. The border to the south has just gotten more publicity.
