The Southern Avenger brings up an EXCELLENT point that Washington and Lincoln don't belong together and Washington would likely be ashamed to be associated with a tyrant such as Abe.
No one can know what George Washington would think of Lincoln and his successors. I think the Southern Avenger has it wrong. It would be Jefferson who would not approve of the current state of the federal government not Washington.
Washington was a supporter of a strong central government and the Federalist agenda. For example, Washington suppressed the Whiskey Rebellion which arose after Congress imposed taxes on distilled spirits.
I think if Washington was faced with southern rebellion he would have done as Lincoln had done.

I agree with you. The reason I am replying under your post is because you mentioned Jefferson.
I watched the video and I took notes as I wanted to look up and verify what this guy had to say...Which led me to find out who is this guy? Check this out:

Jefferson's theory of nullification is fairly simple: The Constitution is a compact among the states where certain, limited powers were delegated to the federal government. Any powers assumed by the federal government that were not expressly delegated to it automatically become void.
There is more to what I would like to say on the "avenger's" video, but not at this time. I recognize the voice though and it's eerie to me. I signed up for free online courses and it is that voice I hear when doing my assignments.

Washington was advised by Hamilton's men, so I can forgive GW for being brainwashed by his subordinates. Also, the Whiskey tax was unenforceable in reality which is why it was repealed in 1803 by TJ.
