Israel could have waited until they entered Israels waters and relieved themselves of the burden of justifying piracy.
But I also wonder about something else.
The Mossad is in a league all its own. It is the crown jewel of spy agencies. It can be argued that the mossad is second to none.
I find it hard to believe that they didn't know that no weapons were on that ship.
Could this have been an intimidation excercise gone wrong? As one commando stated we didn't expect resistance.
Yeah, lets let them get right up on shore and then set the bomb off.

Who expects resistance from a so called peaceful, humanitarian, flotilla?

Take a look at a map of Israel, then tell me how many countries, both on it's borders or even close, that is a friend to them?

Fight a pitched battle against a couple of knives, deck chairs and some pipes. And the commando's are the victims?
Those brave commando's thought they were dealing with the cowed residents of gaza because they expected everyone to simply accept their authority. What a rude awakening.
The passengers were peaceful by the way. Right up until Israel committed an act of piracy in international waters.
totally agree with you,

they don't want the "weapons" to be delivered to Gaza, really funny!

and for non-Israeli non-Jews who are supporting this piracy, why don't you

dedicate some of your land to this "peaceful" Israeli population and put an end

to this conflict and let these "terrorists" to continue killing/bombing themselves?

the history would praise you for this generosity, if you can?

If you ask me, Israel hasn't done enough to the palestanians or their neighboring countries when you look at all the harm the others have inficted on Israel. Israel needs to grow some b---- and execute exact revenge. And tear down the ugly islamic mosque that is an eyesore in Jerusalem.
Now about those supposed "peace activist carrying weapons to gaza. I think it's silly for the Israeli's to express "regret" when they are defending their land and people from more rocket attacks from gaza;

Shall we start a thread and list the things that have been done to Israel? Stop trying to make this a one sided thing because it is not.

That is surprising, but the middle east has severe issues that denying reality will not help. The problems there were compounded by the Bush(Cheney) pointless incursion in Iraq and the only solutions will have to be diplomatic, and a long way off.

I guess when you are attacked over and over again by your neighbors, you might get a little aggressive in defending your people and land.
