People just don't think. The well opening is 18,000 feet below the surface. Crush depth of submarines is less than 3,000 feet.
The pressure at 18,000 feet is probably 600 psi. A 1 kt warhead is only going to generate 10 psi out to about 300 meters or so.
It would take months just to design and build a weapon casing to withstand the pressure at that depth.
18k feet? Where the hell did you get that info, when for the past 2 months or so, the daily rhetoric sez 5k feet? It's not in a trench in the mid-Atlantic or mid-Pacific, after all. ??? Talk about "not thinking," ...
