Maybe they all listened to Rush Limbaugh when he said oil is "natural" in the ocean!

Limbaugh quote concerning Gulf oil catastrophe:

"The ocean will take care of this on its own if it was left alone and left out there," Limbaugh said. "It's natural. It's as natural as the ocean water is."

Funny as hell, I love these points in reading through this.

Look at all the terrible environmental destruction!
We can't stop drilling, it will DESTROY US ALL.
We need to take away regulation and liability, because it's burdensome to the oil industry.
Of course, anyway they look at it...it's all Obama's fault, even though he isn't the one who gutted the regulations.
Then add into that Rush; where oil is natural for the ocean and not a problem, but it's a natural disaster that is still Obama's and the environmentalists fault because of their (insert ad hominem attack).

Wow, any more loony tunes then this, and we would need a wacky sound track.

Cranks make life more humorous, even such terrible tragedies.

I would love to see the oil soak into his ocean front estate which I think is on the gulf side of florida. That would shut him up for several minutes while he crys like a baby...lol

But BP promised to fix any environmental damage from the oil leak. Don't you remember?

In commenting on the significant financial costs of the incident, the company pointed out that:
BP has already spent over $1 billion in gross direct costs for the response, clean up and relief wells.
Spending at this rate is expected to continue for some time beyond successful completion of work to stop the flow of oil from the damaged well. Any fines and penalties would present additional costs.
The costs of containment, removal and clean up are likely to be largely complete in 2010.
The longer-term costs of environmental remediation, claims and litigation are not predictable at this stage, but they will be sizeable and are likely to be spread over many years.

Of course, but that doesn't mean others should not be jumping into action in an effort to contain and suck up as much oil as possible.

Or should they be waiting on BP to coordinate that too?
