Like the folks who often play the "race card", any criticism of Israel is always de facto "anti-semitism" to the reactionary types, even when the criticism comes from other Jews (because obviously only "self-haters" would dare to disagree)!
Throw in (moral) "superiority", "specialness" and a sense of "entitlement" ("it's Our Land" & God's Will), plus a total lack of empathy for the immense human suffering (on both sides), and sounds like you've got all the classic symptoms of clinical Narcissism.
Tragically (but ironically), it's also the same phenomenon that at one time, allowed the equally "special" German "master race" to lose touch with their own humanity.

Yeah, those damn Jews living in the land of milk and honey thinking they are all special and all. Can you imagine the nerve not wanting to get wiped off the map. Holy smokes, you should see the fuss they make when a few missiles get launched at them.
