Default PSL vs Fort Pierce?

When hunting a place to live, which of the two is nicer?
Where is most of the new construction taking place?

Any info appreciated!
Thanks!

Ft Pierce or Port St Lucie. Well...not much new constriction is going on in either area in this economy but it all depends on what you are looking for.

In the western part of Port St Lucie from Bayshore Blvd/Turnpike most everything is a newer home built within the last 10 years or less.

When the building boom started PSL had the property to build on available.. so that's where all the builders, buyers, and investors went. East of Bayshore and the Turnpike you will find a mixture of newer and older homes since they are individual lots and people could have a home built on any available lots that were still open along with existing older homes.

What exactly are you looking for?

Default PSL VS. Ft. Pierce

HI.. I will definitely say Port Saint Lucie is much nicer than Ft. Pierce. I have lived here for 20 years and I spent a lot of time in both towns. I wouldn't move North of Midway Rd. Any street that is a number, letter, state, fruit, or named after a president is not that nice of a neighborhood. I actually like Stuart and Jensen Beach, enev though Jensen Beach is kind of small.. Hoped that helped a little...

Hi, well, all depends on your age I guess. I live in a community center of about 600 Mobile homes with everything on board. We are right off Rte 1 which has every kind of store you want and as many restaurants, Home Depot, Lowes and the list is so long and goes for at least 10 miles. PSL has new huge Civic Center. It's a large City with lots of homes for sale for the do it self type person. Plenty of schools with bussing. Love it there! Fort Pierce not so great in my book, and always see trash not picked up. Jensen Beach if you like being near the water, but not too large. finding jobs in fl is not abundant and skimpy. Lots of people work under the table to survive. Not knowing why you want to go to Fl, age etc. make it difficult to respond, but hope I gave you something to help.
