Vero beach is a good place. You can have everything you want, a beautifull home, take your pick lots of new construction. Homes are affordable you can find 3/2/2 in the low 200;s brand new. Great shopping, awesome beach calssy downtown and most importantly some peace.

Vero Beach has it all. Good schools, less traffic than PSl, nice beaches and affordable homes.

Have you considered Orlando? Careerbuilder.com shows 3262 customer jobs available in Florida and Orlando leads with 347 of them. If you are thinking long term in Florida Orlando is the place to be in my opinion. We go to the beach often and it is as close as 45 min.
Anyway.....I work with developers and investors so if I can help please do not hesitate to ask. Anyone who buys a piece of property is an investor and we have the pricing that is not available to the public. I currently have properties in all three of the areas you are considering as well as other places in Florida.
Good luck!

Prices are even cheaper now...$210K-220K seems to be the going price for a 3/2/2 pool home....I actually have one on the market now...for a little less money, you can get a 15 year old home for about $180-$200K
TriMT7 and I probably went to high school together....hehehehe : )
QVC opened up when I was in college.

Verobeach,
Any comments on any of these apartments in Vero Beach?
Club at Vero, Walker Woods, Walker Club, Palms at Vero Beach, Vero Beach Edgewood Place? Rent is not as high on these, compared to others. I was wondering if the reason for being cheaper is... 'bad area'.

I'd like to add the PSL has quite a few customer service jobs. The ones that I can think of off the top of my head is
1. QVC (a GREAT place to work)!
2. Liberty Medical Supply
3. PSI
4. Aegis Communication
The pay is generally lower in Florida (pretty much all over) compared to upnorth. I'm not sure what you're looking for but some of the jobs mentioned are commission based if that helps.

ALL of the places you mentions are CALL CENTERS... if THAT is what your looking for.

I've always wanted to live in Florida, and so has she, so it works out well. We were thinking about Fort Myers or Naples since we both have family there during the winter. But after checking the prices, theres really no way we could afford that.
So, we decided to be a little farther from the Gulf, and found a nice new development in Immokalee (Collier Co), with affordable new homes. I searched "Immokalee" on this website and quickly found that it was the "crime capital of Collier Co". Not gonna happen...
So, now we're thinking Vero Beach, Port St Lucie, or Jensen Beach. I can work anywhere in Florida, but we need a town with lots of customer service jobs for my girlfriend. And affordable houses ($250), closer rather than farther from the beach, with low crime are very important(thats most important to me). Nightlife or things like that don't matter to us anymore.
Good schools are a plus for the future.
Any suggestions on what city to choose or specific areas in those citys, with respect to crime and jobs?? Thanks in advance!!

You will NOT find LOW CRIME in Jensen Beach....check your stats expecially if you have young children.

Lily15, I'm not a realtor. I've no idea about apartment complexes or if we even have any in Vero Beach. Listen to FlaLadyB.
