Hi Lumina, do you see the bird island in our community? If you stand on the bridge at Elsinore and Fall Creek, you will see hundreds of birds perched on a big tree top in the reserve right before sunset. You can get a closer look of these birds on Keating Dr. BTW, do you see any wild boar? I didn’t see any but was told there were ~10 of them. A trap team consisting of hunting dogs and professionals is looking for them in order to relocate them. We have been driving around in the night to look for wild boars. Instead, we located all the places where Sandhill Cranes sleep. I hope alligator or wild boar wouldn’t bother them. I think Divosta did a good job to preserve nature. Yes, I am with you that I always feel happy when I enter the gate of our development. It is time to relax, walking my dog and observing nature.

It's amazing how "secretive" people are in Tradition about disclosing their wallet draining HOA monthly fee's. Everytime I ask, everyone hushes up. Makes you kind of wonder.
I visited Tradition this afternoon..it was nice....but it seemed "Dead" to me. They have these weird homes where the garage is a sepearate detached garage and it is located behind the house and accessible through another street. very strange.....
If I move to PSL.....I am DEFINITELY staying away from the HOA's. All these MASSIVE foreclosures are going to drive up the HOA fee's FAST. Trust me on that one !

Heydade, I don't think Lingling was being secretive at all. Tradition, like Abacoa, has different neighborhoods maintained by different HOAs and developers.
Actually, even the "weird" home design you describe is fairly typical of the New Urbanist Tradition/Abacoa design scheme.
But yeah, Port St. Lucie has plenty of areas without HOA fees. Most homes don't have HOAs.

I for one live in Tradition myself. I have also POSTED the HOA fees for the different areas in Tradition as well...so NOTHING is a secret! If you really want to know all you have to do is CALL the main office and ASK. The HOA's also include a LOT of things.
A lot of people, me included, like it when our grass is cut without us doing it, the cable is included, the Internet is included and the place always looks nice. Outside of Tradition ..no you don't have too many HOA communities, but you also have it where you do, and pay, for it all along with the possibility of living next door to someone who does not keep their lawn mowed, the house painted, has 12 cars in the driveway and only 2 run, ...I could go on, but nevermind.
The "weird" houses you are talking about are located in an area called Bedford Park. Not all of the homes in there are built like that, but some are. There is a breezeway from the back of the house to the garage. Being different doesn't make it "weird"....it gives the street scape a nice look instead of all driveways - they have homes with front porches instead and it happens to be a very popular area of homes. As far as DEAD.. are you kidding? If you came in the middle of the day.. which you did....we are all at work, the kids are in school. If you had come later on you will see plenty of activity in all areas. Considering that the last couple of days have been rain (badly needed) or hot out, I was indoors as well or out doing my business.
I guess you missed the Friday night events we have or seeing the kids playing in the play areas, on in the water spouts in the central area. You didn't drive around and realize that we have a number of communities in here.. not just one or two that you saw up front- the Promenade and Bedford Park. I guess you probably didn't see the new Charter school? The new restaurants and stores all located along side of our Town center? Dead? are you kidding?

Tradition is the community by Gatlin and 95.I don't care for HOA's myself but can understand why others prefer it.It's a very nice community and we frequent there often for the shopping as well as the entertainment.

When I first was looking for a home in 2003, I decided against Traditions because it was only a plan on a board in the sales office. Living on top of someone else just wasn't my style. Now that years have gone by and it has built up, I kick myself for not buying in Traditions. It is a lovely community, has many special events, feels like The Villages in Lady Lake and Disney at times. What I love is all the stores in walking distance. Michaels, Pier I, Target (not busy just like all the other Targets), Lane Bryant's Olive Garden, Longhorn restaurants. I'm sure lots will be added. Also you are about 1 mile from local Walmart and Home Depot, not to say next to I-95 exit and entrance. I love being there, its so friendly oriented and pretty.
