On another thread, or another site, someone complained that there was little or no beach access because of all the gated communities that make it difficult to waltk onto the beach.
I'm actually interested in knowing how to find these communities on the internet, without having to do the expensive in-person visiting
at least for now. Any information would be appreciated regarding such communities for a retiree.
A PLUS would be a Whole Foods Market in the nearby town

Not sure about how to locate them on the internet. Here in Vero Beach, we have many gated communities along A1A North to Sebastian. many million dollar communities. No Whole Foods, but we do have a Fresh Market. If you tell me what you are looking for in a gated community, I might be able to help.

There is no difficulty in walking the beach in Vero Beach. No gated communities own the sand or the ocean. You can walk for miles and miles and miles, from one beach to another.

Hutchinson Island has a few. Also, Palm Beach County has some.

THANKS for the response. I'm not in the million-dollar league, just a middle-class retired lady on a fixed income. Maybe I was under-evaluating the price of beachfront living
