We did it! We put an offer in on a home in the Torino area. We have to wait a bit since it is a short sale. I would love any suggestions as to the best restaurants, stores, beaches, etc. in the area.

We liked it because it was quiet. It didn't seem so congested. The people we encountered were friendly. The beach was 1/2 hour away. We don't need to worry about schools. I don't know much more about it. I want info too!

= too expensive meaning New Orleans? Port St Lucie is not what I would call expensive. Drop down and cross the county line and the prices go UP .. especially if you cross over in to Palm Beach County and further south.

I have now been living here for 2 months and I absolutely love it!!! I came from Montana where they are now having cold and snow. My thoughts on why I chose PSL are true. The people are friendly, it's not too expensive and it's not the big city. I enjoy hopping over to the beach when I feel like it. My dogs love Walton Rocks dog beach. I have more exploring to do but so far it's great!
