Well, your lease should state he is responsible for FIXING and REPAIRING things, or you can get out of the lease, if it's done properly. Have you sent him requests IN WRITING? Might want to send it certified mail.

Are you living in Stuart or near Palm Beach County for work reasons?

If not, Port St. Lucie just a bit north has much better rental prices and housing stock for the price point. And it is quiet!

There are 73 available rentals in Port St Lucie between $800 and $1000 at the moment including homes and apartments 2/2. 43 that are 3/2.

I know the area the original poster is talking about. The specific neighborhood is called Hibiscus Park. There is nothing upscale or special about the neighborhood, but the is not bad. It is a decent mostly safe area with small 2 BR homes. Schools aren't the best, but aren't the worst either.

Once you go east of US1 the neighborhood changes for the worst. But west of US1 is a decent area. The neighborhoods closer to the hospital are better neighborhoods.
