Regarding jobs, I have a career as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, what is the job market in terms of the medical field. What hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, etc. are located in the area and do they hire on a regular basis. I am doing an assignment in Pensacola from Dec thru mid-March, but am seriously considering permanent relocation to the Port St. Lucie/ Sebastian/ Vero Beach area after that. My girlfriend and I are in our early Fifties and originally from Chicago. Comments and suggestions are appreciated.

The health care industry down there seem s to be in pretty good shape...so jobs for your expertise are probably more plentiful than those for most other occupations

I have several clients who are Heath Care related (mostly Dr's) that are coming in to the area from out of state in the last few months. I would be hitting the yellow pages and sending resumes. Also Martin Memorial Hospital is building new in Tradition. Should be open later next year.
