I am holding off getting my left knee replaced until we make our move to PSL, hopefully it is soon. I am on two opiate painkiller pills a day depending on my level of activity. With the packing and moving things into storage today I took 3 pills and it still hurts, it is 11pm and still packing.
Can someone recommend a Dr or city where others have had their knee replaced successfully.
There are several good Dr's here in New Orleans but I don't have time for the rehab.

Regards.
Sid

My wife is the director of surgery for Martin Health- I'm sure she will have a few recommendations. I will ask her when she gets home tonight!

I'm not going to step on any toes but: I talked about ortho surgery with my family Doc here in the Treasure coast. He said Shands (Gainsville) or U of Miami.

The University of Miami has been recommended to me by my Urologist at Tulane Hospital in New Orleans; Dr.Lee. Two years ago Dr. Lee diagnosed me with bladder cancer and has cured the cancer. However the type of cancer is very persistent and can occur rapidly. Every 3 months I have my bladder scoped to check for any possible outbreaks. Dr. Lee has recommended a Dr. at the U of Miami. I wonder if there is a good Urologist/Oncologist in Port St Lucie.
