Hello and thanks in advance,

I'm looking at a home in the becker area just west if the turnpike backing to canal 24, can anyone tell me if that area is prone to flooding ? Good section of town?

Thanks again!

I live there. It has some blight, but overall it seems to be a very quiet and decent place. I really like it! It hasn't flooded since I've been here, but it's only been a few months. My neighbor has lived here since 2006 and has never seen any flooding at all.

Default Congratulations

We live not too far from there off Darwin and we love the area - very convenient and you have Publix, Bonefish Mac's and Cornerstone Pub really close by. Good luck - you'll love it.

I still have not been able to find Cornerstone. I know it is in the Verona shopping center, but where? All I see is Bonefish Macs. Is it on the other side or something??

Default Cornerstone Pub

Yes, Cornerstone is all the way on the other side - kind of behind the decorating shop. It was WONDERFUL - great ambiance, food & exceptional service - BUT they are currently closed for the summer season, I believe from July 1st thru Oct. 1st. Strongly recommend this restaurant and they offer a complete dinner including a bar drink, dessert, etc. for $17.95 if you are seated by 6 PM.

Ahhh...they close during the summer? Dang. I know Bonefish looks packed everytime I drive by.

BTW- I don't know if you like to bike LocalIt, but we live in a great area for it. My family will head out around 5:30pm and go west on Becker til we get to Village Parkway. We take that up to Tradition and get us some Tutti Frutti before heading back. I love how flat FL is- my kids can do it with little complaints.

Thanks again for the kind words and advice, we close end of next month as long as there are no hiccups. Speaking of which anyone know any good home inspectors?

Thanks again!
