Default After school hangouts ? (Palm City area)

Hello ..

New to the area with a 6yo who just started at BCE. Any areas that are popular hangouts for kiddies after school ? Son is super social and of course we don't know anyone here yet .... hoping to find friendly faces for him at school -- and be nice to connect with other parents

Thanks !
T

I don't know about 6 year olds going to "hang out" anywhere at that age. I would try a park. Most people just take them home, do homework, play outside for an hour or two, then get ready to do it again the next day. Does he/she not get enough socialization at school?

When I say hang out, I mean popular places that parents may go for an hour with their kiddies after school. In NC we used to have a weekly meeting in a local park ... Wed 4pm .... lots of children (many from the same school) got to run around and have some social time with others. Parents all chatting etc. it was really nice. I remember that just before I left a new family moved to the neighborhood and it was great for her to meet other parents and her son to mix with other kiddies.

So, that's really what I meant, perhaps came across wrong - I don't let him go hang out at the skateboard park on his own quite yet He of course socializes at school, although school is mostly business ... he is just a social wee guy who likes to hang out and play/interact with other kiddies his sort of age.

LOL...I just had to pick with ya!!

Anyway- that may be something you want to start up at your child's school. I would go to the office and talk to the principal and see if you are able to send something home with all the kids. Just a thought.
