Yes. Don't leave your dog outside unattended. I let my terrier out to potty (she never left our yard) opened the door for her 5 minutes later to find her foaming at the mouth in the garage. Saw the toad, put 2+2 together and rushed the dog to the emergency vet. She stayed overnight had IV's, etc. She survived, thankfully. I never just opened the door for again.

All toads in Florida are poisonous as they have mated with the Buffo toads.
They love to come out at night, be careful.

Hmm, would like to see that reference ... that all toads are toxic as they have mated with the giant (or bufo) toad. As I knew it, there is the giant or cane toad to which you refer (bufo is latin for toad) and the southern toad. The southern toad is our native species .....
