Yes, Ruth's Chris is a fixture in New Orleans but ya better hold on to a chair when you see the prices. On another slant where is the best place to buy raw steaks and meats in general. Any special places?

While driving here from California, I stopped over in Lafayette, LA, where I discovered a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse (right beside a Sonic). I learned that long time ago, the Chris steakhouse was for sale and Ruth bought it. She decided to keep the name (in part) and its great reputation. With my $150.00 steak, I got a beautifully set table in an elegant restaurant and great wine. I cannot do that very often but it was a wonderful experience to do once.

The Fresh Market in Stuart is great, and there is the Butcher Shoppe in Stuart as well at 802 S Federal Hwy. They also carry some AmAzInG hotdogs from Syracuse, NY (where I grew up).
