Aegis is looking to hire more than 720 people today at their job fair located in Port St. Lucie.
The fair, which is located on University Boulevard runs until 3pm.

Aegis is a telecommunications company and majority of the positions primarily deal with inbound calls.

Employers are looking to hire sales and customer service professionals in support of health care clients.

They're also encouraging any licensed insurance agent possessing a 215, 218 or 240 license, to apply.

The company had permanent, temporary and seasonal positions available.

Aegis is ALWAYS looking to hire 400, 300, 700, etc. "permanent" cough cough... employees. Ever take a look at their parking lot? Ya, I know, they contract out space from the Mets.. temporary space. I was actually hired by them when I first moved here.. went to the 1st day orientation.. the whole thing is one big scam! I walked out.

They don't keep anybody...they have a new job fair every time you turn around. You should see the ads.. promising healthcare and other benefits, plus a discount gas card. Like I said, I went to the 1st day orientation. I was hired. Was to start the training. You could not ask any questions.. none! Also, they wanted access to your complete medical records.. everything... what meds you are one, what meds you had used in the past...past brokem bones, etc... complete medical records! I walked out.. and I am amazed that even the local news stations announce these "job fairs" looking to hire 700 PERMANENT employees!
If they had kept all the employees sought for every job fair since I've been here they would need their own building.. I have been in the space up on University and Peacock.... took the tour.

--I'm not promoting anything... I posted a job fair...period --- for the benefit of people who need jobs - just like the other jobs fairs I posted. Just because you didnt stay doesn't mean others won't, and have.

Really?? Don't you think most of those folks who need a job are expecting it to be a permanent, full time, regular, position, with full benefits, just like the ads always state? Because it isn't. It is like most of the crappy jobs offered here by employers who get away with murder.

I think I can say that i have accurate and honest info on Aegis, having gone through the hiring process. You haven't. It is a scam.. constantly hiring 700, 500, 400, etc... there will be another before September. Try getting real, accurate data on Aegis and the amount of permanent employees. Seriously. You're always throwing statistics around... try getting real data. It is a disservice to send people to Aegis.
Btw, I have never, ever seen any of their ads/job postings say anything about temp positions.. all state they are regular, full time positions.

Listen people, we-especially FlaLadyB- use this site as a friendly way to HELP others. If you aren't working, a job is a job. It brings $$ to the bank. It may not be a great job, it may not be a good job, it probably won't be a job you want...but it may be a job you could do. Shesh. If you don't want a job, don't go to the dang fair. We are just putting it out there as an opportunity for others that ARE searching for work.

Boy, you really are looking petty, here. I think I can say that i have accurate and honest info on Aegis, having gone through the hiring process. You haven't. Welcome to this forum. And thank you for your honest opinion. Not everyone knows about Aegis. I know because my technician worked for them. He always put up a show about Aegis for us to laugh. So now everyone knows becaused of you. Thank you.

I must have missed something in this discussion. I have learned that apparently Aegis requires applicants to provide their medical history and does not allow questions during their training sessions. I am still waiting to hear what is the scam. LingLing knows someone who worked there. Why did he leave?
