HA HA I've done that before.

DM me if I can help you. I'm a dog walker not a realtor but I love house hunting. A couple of hours here or there is not a problem

The problem here is you'll forget what you saw and where you saw it if you go too fast.

Another problem is people show up with a LIST of what to see....but if you don't see OTHER THINGS you don't know what you are missing. You just THINK you do LOL. I had no idea I would buy where I did - I randomly drove in because of an open house. Didn't like the listings. The realtor contacted me a few months later with "the perfect unit" and she was right.

Always better to spend longer if you're not DEFINITE about what you want. OR WHERE.

WHERE is the biggest dilemma, IMO. But the community is small. Only the density is the issue.

Also you NEED a realtor because you can't get into most HOAs without a gate code. Unless there's an open house. Now if there's construction? Yes the gates are open in the daytime. YES they will steer you to THEIR listings so have that conversation. They may take a minute to go to new construction to sign the book LOL. My realtor showed me 5 rentals of hers and I took one but there were MANY MANY Others cheaper and better suited to my needs. But I had spent MONTHS looking from Broward all the way up here so I was happy to find her.

There's not much to add to runswithscissors encyclopedic descriptions of activities here in Vero, but I'll mention just two others, so obvious they're easy overlook: (1) water activities (fishing, kayaking, rowing, sailing, yachting, swimming, to name a few) and (2) dog walking. I mention the latter because even the most bashful, socially retiring individual would have a hard time not making numerous friends within a few days by simply visiting the dog park at the northeast end of the Barber Bridge during one of the busy hours there. Of course, it helps to have a mutt in tow, but I'm not even sure that's necessary. One could just go and talk to people on the pretext that one is solliciting opinions on which breed to get.

Another popular dog walking location is the beach at Turtle Trail on the island. It's not a park, just a beach access area with a parking lot, so people can walk their dogs on the beach there. The entrance is just past the River Club community entrance. Dog walkers are SO nice and friendly ! I don't have a dog (my cats would heavily object) but I love dogs and enjoy encountering them on the beach and chatting with their owners.
