Default Fort Pierce area vacation rental

My husband and I are coming to the Fort Pierce area the first week in March to watch our son at spring training with his college baseball team. We would like to rent a place on a beach near-by and are looking for a quiet spot that isn't too expensive.

I have been checking into moving to Florida. I found Portofino Landings Apts. Located in Ft. Pierce, Fl. I contacted them and they told me that they rented vacation apts. for a week at a time. The apt. is $500.00 for the week. There are pictures of it on craig's list. I don't know anything about the area, but I hope I could help.

Try Ocean Village. It's on Hutchinson Island in Ft Pierce and I know they have weekly rentals.

Go out Seaway drive area (Hut. Island) There are a number of rental places along the inlet that would be suitable. I used to work at Harbour Isles in that area. I would NOT recommend staying in the "city". Check the location of the hotel, motel, etc. and ask for a brochure and photos. I believe the place we stayed was called Dockside. Decent rates, nice owner. Just remember...it's "beachy". There is a small local place almost across from it for breakfast. The Tiki Hut just across the bridge before US#1 make a left and it's on the left at the marina- great for a drink and watching the water, music...local hangout. Green market there on weekends. Several other local restaurants in the immediate area along Seaway Dr. Enough to keep you occupied. Not looking at the "Hilton" style...just easy Fla living.
