I live in an older section of the city in the NE section near the water utility plant. I live on a corner and luckily there is I fire hydrant across the street but there are no others in the 3 blocks the street runs. I see that there is a blue reflector on the street surface where there is the hydrant but there are other blue reflectors and no hydrants. I do not know how many there should be in a city but the apparent scarcity has to affect our homeowners insurance. With all the spending the city has done elsewhere at least in my area there is a shortage of fire hydrants, street lights and sidewalks. I will follow up with the city council if they will answer my email. What are other areas like?
