Living in Vero Beach for the past 6 months. Just wondering if there are any lgbt friendly restaurants or chill spots in this area or in neighboring area? I am mostly home bound from home to work, but would like to go out sometimes and be in an environment i can relate to.

I would think most restaurants are friendly because they want customers. You shouldn't limit yourself. Try one then another.

LGBT = Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender.

They are looking for a restaurant that caters to them.

The original poster is simply looking for a public place——a bar, a club, a joint to grab a bite to eat——where one can meet others who are like minded, a simple enough request which could best be dealt with by not answering at all if you can't help the poster.

I don't go "out" much because I'm always working but I'd recommend starting with the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Church where there's a community.

You don't have to be religious to meet new friends there.

They have events like music and theater too, at the Emerson Center there.

I think the Unity Church, too. On 43rd? I think the PFLAG used to meet there.

We have an LGBT community here, I work for gay people (and see lots of cute older couples around) but because Vero is so quiet it's not that "obvious" like in the old days in Ft Lauderdale party central - where Wilton Manors is a gay city.

Here's a thread from before that some members posted to who are part of the community, too.

Of course you have to wade through some nonsense but....

Gay friendly church in Vero Beach Florida??

I'm sure the poster has enough internet savvy to have done this already, but despite the number of hits, their results are very disappointing which is probably why he inquired here. And what makes you so sure the poster is a "he?"

Thank you guys. Really not much of a big deal. Really located because of a big job opportunity in the Hospital, yes my schedule is ethic working especially what I do there. Actually no friends, and sometimes being home is really a 'drag'. But thanks tho. Games and books will continue being ma friends lol.

PS. Oh loving the place so far, very peaceful and private. I am very on the reserve part of life and this place is great.
