HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS -- STARTING DECEMBER 2

Budweiser Clydesdales return to the Treasure Coast in time for holidays- I LOVE seeing these horses!!
The iconic team of eight horses and red carriage, decorated for the holidays, will make appearances in Port St. Lucie, Vero Beach and in downtown Fort Pierce. Santa will follow the famous horses, the trained Dalmatian and red beer wagon, and most visits are timed at twilight to highlight the holiday decorations.
The team will be at Marina Square in Fort Pierce from 4 to 8 p.m. Dec. 16 with the backdrop of more than 100,000 lights synchronized to holiday music. There will be plenty of photo opportunities as the team trots along Orange Avenue and Second Street to the 12A Buoy restaurant and back. (by the way 12A Buoy restaurant is really good!)

The team, recognizable around the world, also will make stops at Sam’s Club in Port St. Lucie and Riverside Park in Vero Beach. The holiday visit is thanks to Southern Eagle Distributing. Padrick said the quintessential team of horses visits the top three performing Anheuser-Busch distributors in the nation.
Dec. 14: 2-5 p.m. at Sam’s Club, 10900 U.S. 1, Port St Lucie
Dec. 16: 4-8 p.m. at Marina Square and downtown Fort Pierce
Dec. 17: 4-8 p.m., starting at Riverside Park and parading down Ocean Drive in Vero Beach

Carriage rides return to Stuart

Wind Chase Farm, the Palm City based company that operates the carriage rides, has an official carriage stop just east of Haney Circle behind Lou-Ronzo’s Italian Fusion. The city gave the valued downtown parking space to the company early this year.
The carriages, decorated for the holidays and pulled by rare black-andwhite Clydesdales, seat two to 10 people. During the holiday season, tours will focus on holiday lights and sounds.
“Once we get closer to the holiday, I will be booked solid,” said owner and operator Heather Schneider. “I strongly recommend reservations.”
The 30- to 35-minute tours travel along Ocean Boulevard past Memorial Park, through downtown on Flagler Avenue to the Pelican Café and back.
Tours will continue after Jan. 4, but will be focused on local history and will be offered, weather permitting, Wednesdays through Sundays through the end of May.
