Default Seeking more info

I've traveled Europe a lot, but been planning an escape to live in Mexico for awhile (year trial). I want to live cheap as possible, withing in reason. Small apartment instead of full house until I see how things go. Love the sound of the Verobeach area being discussed.

Just want to chill, write music, have a drink and watch sunsets, and not think about work of any kind! Love meeting new people. I would like to set a budget of around $1000 to $1500. Just want to stay low key and off the radar. Don't need a huge house, high end car etc. Just basics.

So can anyone give me more information or point me to a good source. I'm also curious about banking, ATM's etc. An the effect America's new immigration policies etc on nationals attitude towards American's.

I know the border towns and drug problem has became very dangerous, but how about these areas? Thanks :-)

We have considered Sebastian as well. Its a beautiful area. What is the housing like? And community.
We have eaten breakfast at Earl's Hideaway. More or less a biker bar. But good breakfast sandwiches and decent coffee. Cheap too
