My husband and I are thinking about retiring in Stuart/Jensen Beach but want to be near (within a half hour's drive) to a good hospital. Are there any good ones nearby?

The better hospitals are probably in the higher population areas of Palm Beach County. So you are looking at a 40 to 50 minute drive depending on where in Palm Beach County. The local hospital in Stuart is operated by Cleveland Clinic. Cleveland Clinic just recently (past year or two)started operating the hospital in Stuart, so I guess its reputation is evolving.

We are also considering the area and Health Care is something we are looking at also. By reputation Cleveland Clinic is well regarded and we realize that Palm Beach would be the nearest source for more significant services, not much different from a lot of areas where the major medical is in the city an hour away. We are also considering 2 other areas where Orlando or Jacksonville would be the next big city for health services.

I personally LOVE Cleveland Clinic and found them to be exceptional. Having had to be at various hospitals a lot in past years I had an emergency trip this past December, I have nothing bad to say about them in any way, in fact they were awesome! This was the Cleveland Clinic at Tradition in Port St Lucie.

I second that for The Cleveland Clinic Tradition. Had a great experience there last year for a procedure. Usually i hate Hospitals,lol.
