Default Best areas in Port St.Lucie WITHOUT HOA's ?

Looking to move to PSL at the end of the year maybe. I DO NOT want to be in an HOA. I have lived in HOA's before and I am a firm believer that the harm they do far outweighs any good they offer. With that being said, I also believe that due to the extremely high foreclosure rate, special assesments will be tacked onto existing HOA members. Those still living in the communities will be sent letters advising them that their HOA dues have just gone up to cover the shortfall of all the non-paying foreclosure abandoner's. Yes, they have the legal right to do so and YES...it is already happening everywhere here in South Florida. I am starting to get off topic here. lol

So my question to you is what areas in PSL are good quiet family oriented neighborhoods that are NON HOA.

Thanks to all !

Southbend has no HOA (last I checked).... MOST of Port St. Lucie doesn't have an HOA... lots of new homes in the Gatlin area as well without HOA.

The Saint James area Torino Pkwy and as mentioned above Southbend and Gatlin area. These are all nice areas that have homes that are not in HOA's. Zip codes are 34984-34983-34986-34953 Happy Hunting!

Don't automatically write off HOA's. Some have dues that are only $125 a year. Some areas of homes may have an HOA, but you wouldn't know it to look at them.
