Default What is the job market really like in the Port St Lucie Area
I am a construction manager currently working in the New York City area but I would love to relocate to Florida. I would appreciate any insight or leads that can be provided about jobs in the construction field in and around PSL. I do not mind a commute so travelling 45 to 50 miles to work will not be a problem for me

Construction (at least residential) in Florida, and particularly in Port St. Lucie has pretty much ground to a halt. You may have luck finding projects in West Palm Beach area (45 - 60 minute commute), but I would DEFININTELY secure employment before charting your move to Port St. Lucie. Especially in today's economy. I'm not going to say it can't be done, because I know projects are still ongoing (West Palm has fast tracked capital improvments as a sort of "economic stimulus").... but I don't think it will be easy.

There are no jobs. Forget it if you are looking for construction, in particular.
