If Ruffino's is still around in the Rivergate plaza, check that out for Pizza. Also, Big Apple has always been a good source of pizza on the treasure coast, with several locations.
I'll leave it to more current residents to point out the Italian hotspots, but if you want a great Italian bakery that has people lined out the door on some mornings check out St. Lucie Bakery (I believe it's called) in the Morningside Shoppes.

I don't know about PSL, but in Stuart we go to Paesano's on A1A. It's better than any pizza in the area & the closest to good ole NY pizza!!! (coming from an ex-NY'er.... )

We enjoy Rufinos for above average meals and very good to excellent pizza. It is located in the Rivergate plaza on PSL Blvd and Veterans Memorial Highway. Publix is there too and if you blink you may miss Ruffinos.

Ruffinos is good, so is Little Italy in St Lucie West..I've been out of the area for a while so not sure if it is still there. We used to go to this place called Antonios on Airoso (north PSL) and they were good too.
St Lucie Bakery is the BEST bakery. We are friends with the owners. The owners son also owns a new restaurant on Hutch Island that used to be the Fairways. I haven't tried them but they are great cooks so it would be worth a shot. Not sure of the name though, sorry.

Panariellos (hope my spelling is correct), on the corner of California and Savona.Best pizza we've ever had.My husband and I aren't big on Italian food so I can't speak for their dinners but the pizza is wonderful. They also have a bakery with a large variety of Italian pastries. We just had the "lobster claw"? tonight.Excellent!!

Thank you all for taking the time to reply. I've been to Big Apple Pizza, had the the supreme which was definetly good. The bakery - wow! Wasn't aware of any bakeries here. Thank you!

Yup......you are correct !
I have tried ALL of the Italian bakeries in PSL, and Roma's is by far the BEST!
If you have ever tried REAL CANOLIS, and got spoiled....then that would be the place for you to go.
(As for all specialties places, they are not "cheap", and I am a firm believer that you pay for what you get....lol. )
