What should I look out for does all the scetchy people live in apts there like in some places? I have a 6 year old and also love walking so im scared to death of sex offenders is there any apt complexs I should really look out for? I love that site you gave for the rentals I've been searching everywhere and cant seem to find anything under 1200 and I just dont want to start out with that its kind of a just in case thing Id love to buy but I really want to get use to the area first so just in case I see something better or like another neighborhood better later on I dont want to regret my deision.

Mindy why not rent a condo you don't need a whole house like the other poster if you don't need the ground or space for vehicles. There are several. I don't know about any apartments per se but it seems to me there are several on Indian River Boulevard that look fine. That being said, I'd go for a private rental of a condo.
Out west by the mall there are several condos that are all ages and one in fact right across the street from Target which would be very convenient. Right on 27th as a matter of fact. I'll get the name later when I go over there. I saw a sign I think that says leasing.
ALSO on 27th behind the mall I think called Walker something are NICE apartments.
I'll make the list when I drive by today. I go to Petersons for oranges, Brendas produce on 66th and have to go to the mall.
Also that search on realtor dot com was only 32966 by the mall. Vero has several zips I live in 32962 now. I think I also put a high rent price on it.
Just put in Vero BEach for more listings.
Here's a nice condo development near the mall that I would have no hesitancy renting. Maybe buying because they are frame and had hurricane damage but to rent, nice.
Just one example, Mindy. It's very nice there. Only 700.00 ! 2/2

here's a search for all of vero beach price 600 to 1200. Some are 55+ but also there's an 80/20 rule where they will take some people under 55....all the Vista Gardens and Vista Royale do short term leases I have a friend who does that. THERE ARE ABOUT 200 RENTALS COMING UP.

Buying now is very bad. Unless you have a dream house and see it LIKE ON THE BEACH. Otherwise, once you're stuck with it, you're stuck. And it's a depreciating asset, the prices are going down. Last month was a TOP FORCLOSURE MONTH. There was a moratorium on house foreclosures up until a month or two ago but they're coming back with a vengance now and more homes are going on the market. THAT MEANS MORE HOMES IN NEIGHBORHOODS ARE GOING TO BE BANK OWNED, POSSIBLY RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO YOU.
Only REALTORS say "now is a great time to buy and interest rates are going to go back up and you'll miss out". LOL Yeah right.
GEt pre qualified and keep looking. Meanwhile sign a lease. IMO.
Waterway Village is gorgeous and many have pools but it's an HOA. I almost rented there myself.
I also almost rented a duplex TWO BLOCKS FROM THE BEACH from a realtor I met. But I bought a condo instead.
