Undertow has reasonably good food but richety-rocky chairs and tacky atmosphere.

If its good, we really don't care what kind of chairs they have. If it is somewhat clean and good food, great. Earl's Hide-away isn't the most spotless and the chairs are okay. But, they have a great blt and an awesome view. Its all what you like. thanks for the info.

Have you been in Undertow recently? Or maybe just different taste? I like their open kitchen concept. Very single dish has chef's own touch and you won't find anywhere else. The chef, a lady owns the place. This is truly a place where you see a hardworking owner creats unique taste that fits customers well. The inside of the restaurant is well decorated and has all sorts of chairs including lounge chairs. I have been to many fancy restaurants in Vero beach, including Maison Martinique, Carmel.... Undertow is my favorite. It is crowded due to its good food.

I was also told that the lady chef bought that restautant and reformed it. If you haven't been to there recently, go to visit it and then make your comment. Or perhaps, you don't really live in Vero beach now.

Last time we went to Vero to dine -- everyone had walkers or those hover-round wheelchairs. The stench from soiled diapers was so bad, we couldn't stay!

This is funny but not true. Try the Greenhouse Cafe, a new restaurant, on 13th Ave. across from the Post Office. Great food, great courtyard, and great service. And daytonadewd, you wanna talk stench... Daytona is a man's town, it's full of bars and smells like p!$$. We drove up there to see what it had to offer, hoping to do lunch, but we didn't even want to get out of the car so instead we drove to New Smyrna where we had a wonderful lunch.
