I think I've gotten one of each.

BTW, if you saw 15 or more insects in your home in one day, I agree that calling a pro is best. Bugs can lay thousands of eggs, so what looks like 1 or 2, might mean thousands in a few weeks. I just moved from a duplex home and every time my neighbor would bomb his place, the bugs ran to mine which they must have heard was a refuge. Unfortunately for them, I do kill when necessary. Cockroaches are first on my list. When I lived on Sanibel Island, the home had been empty for months (I guess) and the palmettos had taken over. The first night I turned on the lights and started screaming like a fool. After all, they can't hurt you. But I never knew roaches could fly. Most people will think I'm exaggerating, but there were giant palmetto bugs crawling on the walls, the carpet, the refrigerator, the stove, in the bathtub...everywhere...and I was freaking out. I felt so terrible when I hit one & cut it in half, and the other half kept running around. Hope they don't feel pain. I didn't go back to bed that night.

We have a pro coming tomorrow to start the spraying process. We have not seen as many since I sprayed the Home Defense stuff and Boraxed everything. Almost got my husband, thank God he can jump fast

Anyway, it should be taken care of in the next week.

I suddenly have a family of lizards, so I wish I could give them to you. Then you wouldn't need a professional exterminator.

Last night I saw a baby in the tub, so I caught it and put it outside. I was so happy when it ran off, that is, until I saw another one in the kitchen. I wonder if the larger one I saw last week laid some eggs in the condo.

Wow, I have not heard about any lizard invasions I thought the bug thing was freaky.

Yes, they would be great for our white-footed ants and small pantry beetles. But, they are slowly "passing" away. We have a couple tree frogs that hang out by the house. They eat the bugs as well. Lately I feel like I have been a blood donor for the mosquito foundation of Vero Beach Thank God for Cutter and Off. I take a bath in it when I mow the grass. Those little bite right through your clothes.

Geckos are very common in Florida. I usually only see them outside, but there have been several in this condo. They're harmless. I realize they often carry salmonella, but I don't plan to get too personal with one! I washed my hands after I caught & released it.

Here are some hints to keep the Mosquito's at bay. 1. Eat lots of garlic. Eat it until it comes out the pours in your skin (not really) 2. Avoid wearing too much white clothing outside during the early morning and evening hours. They are attracted to white for some reason. So are the sand fleas. 3. Get Citronella (can't spell it) candles for outside if you plan on sitting out side at night. 4. make sure you get rid of all areas that have standing water. 5. Get some deep woods Off or anything with Deet. 6. Take up smoking cheap cigars. Mosquitos can't stand the smell. 7. Back to the Garlic you can mix up a spray of Garlic and water. Start with one head per 2 gallons of water and use it as a spray around your outside plants and the grass near where you sit out at night. Adjust the strength until you get them to stay away. Make sure you mash up the garlic so the oils get out into the water. Mosquitos can't stand the smell of Garlic and it is a more natural way of keeping them away from you. There are lots of smells that drive them away. The stronger the better so pick one that you can stand. Also they love, love, love Yankees and Canadians. That is why they leave when it gets to be summer. Just kidding.

Does skin-so-soft from Avon really work to prevent Mosquito bite? I tried and still got several big bumps. Does anyone use it?

It didn't work for me, but some people I know swear by it. This sounds weird, but since I stopped eating bananas, I don't get a lot of bites. I love bananas, so I might just suffer but I guess that isn't just a myth. Must be something in a banana that they find appealing.

I wish I could eat garlic as stevep111 suggested, not just because of the bug bites, but it's very good for your health. Hot peppers, onions, garlic .... all the stuff that gives me heartburn and indigestion ... are good for you.
