Default best city or area

We'er in our early 30's without kids and we're looking to transfer from Atlanta to Vero Beach. Does this area offer plenty of restaurants and shopping? We basiclly like a going to the movies and eating out. Is there a better place on the treasure coast we should consider? My husband will be working at the FedEx station in Vero Beach 685 8th ct. Any input would be helpful.

We have movie theaters and overpriced mediocre restaurants. Our mall, at this date in time, has 17 vacancies. In no way does it compare to Atlanta and I don't think there's any place on the TC that's flourishing. This all said, Vero Beach is still the best that's offered on the TC.

Vero Beach is pretty much a movie theater.

Oh, and Outlet stores.

I would normally suggest moving to Stuart/Jensen Beach so you can be closer to Palm Beach County if going out and shopping is your thing, but Vero Beach is far from the Southern Treasure Coast. Maybe Melbourne would be a more happening place?

Thanks for replying. I keep reading Melbourne has more crime. Is Indian River Mall any good? Is it a safe area to go to the movies? We don't need night clubs but do like eating out. What zip code would you recommend?

The Indian River Mall is safe. To be honest, the only place on the Treasure Coast that I'd consider "unsafe" would be parts of Fort Pierce.

Melbourne is the Space Coast, I believe, but I didn't think it had a big reputation for crime?

Is there a zip code or a neighborhood we should consider? My husband will be working in Vero Beach so we don't want to go too far but we do want to have shopping, restaurants and a safe enviroment around us.
