Good, you've done some homework and you have a relative here. That makes it much easier to narrow down what you want. Once you have decided on a home and go to contract you actually don't have to be here for closing. It can be done with mailed paperwork. I use a local attorney for my closing and/or a local title company. Usually the closing location is chosen by the Seller, but I also try to find who will cost everyone the least amount of money in closing. Cash closings will be a huge savings for you in costs.
