Or is it not a good choice due to weather/wind/location or whatever?

Is cable tv the only realistic option?

Dish network is much cheaper, and has the same coverage.

No they don't. They have a College football package is all that I have been able to find. And this year you couldn't get Baseballs extra innings either. I have Direct TV up in Washburn and have lost the signal about 3 times in the past year and never for longer than 15 minutes. 2 times was for less than 5 minutes. I went with them because of the baseball wife didn't quite understand, but there is a lot she doesn't even try to figure out anymore.

You can get Direct Tv anywhere in Maine. We have it and wouldn't have anything else. We thought about Dish Network but figured it out and will only save $4 a month. Not worth changing in my opinion.

On a related subject, I had noticed when we were talking about storm Noel, that a few CD boarders had said,"still have phone=still have internet." please tell me that dial up is not my only option in Eastport.

We have internet cable hookup in Eastport, don't know about DSL lines but I'll be checking that out in the Spring. Pine Tree Cable provided the TV cable and internet cable until the 1st of this month when Time Warner bought them out so I don't know what kind of services will be available by the new year.
