High Speed Internet in Maine
I'm moving to South Portland next week, on the 26th or 27th. I'm trying to find cable internet companies that serve up there, but the only one I can find is Road Runner. Are there any other ones?
(I can't use DSL because I'm not going to have a phone line. I use a MagicJack, which works through your computer.)

In Maine, RoadRunner is offered exclusively through Time Warner Cable and is readily available in South Portland.

Yeah, I know Road Runner's up there. What I'm asking is if there's another (cheaper) cable internet provider in Portland.

Maybe you can, but I can't think of a city that offers more than one cable internet provider. The reason is that Time Warner has such a huge monopoly over the market, no other company would bother to lay down the lines to compete. That's why Time Warner can charge whatever they want and that's why you won't get a better price.

or pay more for RoadRunner Turbo, I had it on a 30 day trial period and cancelled it as I couldn't see much difference in performance.

I am fed up with Time Warner, it seems they have taken over.
We currently have a bundled package with Fairpoint (was Verizon 2 months ago)
We have direct tv, unlimited long distance and wireless high speed interent bundled together.

We are moving into the area as well and could not find another provider other than Time Warner.
