Farthest Commute to Portland
Just curious to hear the towns you commute from to Portland daily, and how long it takes you.
I live in Manhattan where the average one-way commute is 38 minutes (though most do this by subway) and that doesn't seem like a long time to me anymore.

I live in Gorham, on the Windham side and pass through Windham and Westbrook on the way. My commute time is about 25-30 minutes for the 11.2 mile journey to my Baxter Boulevard office.

I did the commute from Harpswell everyday - it was approx 45 minutes and 45 miles.
15 minutes from Orr's Island to Brunswick but once I got on 95 it was only another 20 - 25 minutes until I hit my Washington Ave exit.

I used to commute to Boston everday and I knew other people that did the same. It was about 2 hours each way. My friends brother commuted from Sebago Lake to Boston which is about 2 1/2 hours each way.

My husband used to commute from Turner to Scarborough. 51 miles one way, took him an hour. Unless there was an accident to slow things down.

When I don't telecommute, it takes me *roughly* 20-25 minutes to drive from Yarmouth to Scarborough (roughly 18 miles). I don't take I-295 all the way as it sometimes has backups from exit 15 all the way into to Portland (taking into consideration it's only a 2-lane highway), I opt for a more leisurely drive either down U.S. Route 1 or Route 88 all the way to Falmouth. Then it's a merge back onto I-295 for about 5 miles into South Portland/Scarborough. Realizing the OP wanted an (assumed) measurement of distance, I also wanted to throw in some experiences from a commute located 10-15 minutes north of Portland proper.
