You guys are so great. I'll get back and let you know what we decide. About to experience a cold spell here, too. After Thursday they don't expect anymore 100's ... just upper to mid-90's. I'm really getting to be a wimp in my old age!

You're not a wimp. We feel the same way when we're locked in the house sitting in front of the wood stove from December until April.

For those that want to stay at The Inn at St. John, and arrive via Amtrak or PWM; you can catch the route 5 Portland Metro bus at both of these areas during the day. The bus will drop you off on St. John street about 500 yards from the inn. Fare is $1.25 a person. This is the easiest way to get there if you just want to explore the city without having to rent a car.

There are really tons of great places to eat here.

For Portland's only light up dance floor, and 80's music go to Bubba's Sulky Lounge on Friday nights. Rosie's serves a great black and tan in a relaxed atmosphere. 3 Dollar Dewey's and Bull Feney's are always a good time too.
