Anyone know why the B&M sign on the plant on the bay you can
see from 295 is gone?

I don't seem to pay much attention as I drive by but I did happen to notice that it was there a couple days ago.

It appeared that it was blown over the other week. I'd assume that it would be put back because it is a land mark, but one never knows around here.

Alert! Buy your Burnham and Morrill beans while you still can. Stock up. Buy several cases and the brown bread too, (with raisins of course).

Now, how many knew what B&M stood for? Be honest, now.

I'm pretty sure all of us that all ride / rode by that place every day knew exactly what B&M stood for. It says it right on the sign!

dubthang is correct WCSH had a report on it a week or so ago. The sign blew off in a storm. I'm not sure if it's back up again as I have not been to Portland this week yet. The last time I went by the sign was gone but you could smell beans baking.

I had one idea, but it was more of a "by-product" of eating the beans (rhymes with "schmowel schmovement").

We always have several cans around. Brown bread with raisins, maple flavored, and Grandma's recipe are my favorites. Always enjoy seeing the christmas tree they put up on the building around the holidays.
