Default Portland to Waterville / Small schools

Hi,
I'm in the process of applying for a job in Waterville, ME. Because this job would only require me being in the office 2-3 days a week, and my husband would most likely find work in Portland, we probably would like to live in or closer to Portland. My question is regarding schools in Portland and it's somewhat of a specific question. My son has severe nut allergies and we have found a great small school where we live now, that only has two grades per class, they are very flexible and knowledgeable as regards the allergy, great policies in place, and a fantastic nurse. We are looking for a similar school in Portland/environs and have no clue about how to find out such information. Would appreciate any leads.
Thanks.

Hello KDID,

Welcome to the Portland Forum. My almost 3 year old daughter attends Chinese School at the Breakwater School on the corner of Brighton Avenue and Capisic Streets in Portland on Saturday mornings. I know that on the basement floor (where the youngest classrooms are) they have signs posted that say "No nuts on this level."

I don't know what goes on there during the week, just the 90 minutes that we spend there each week. You might want to search online for this private school to learn more or send me a DM and I'll send you a link to it.
