You never know why people are in the conditions they are, nothing based on human behavior is, even more so since the economic dump. Unfortunately there is no word to include just the people who are drug addicts, the mentally ill who refuse to take their meds, and people who refuse to play well with others...those who pretty much through their own bad choices are on the streets. I refuse to indulge people in their bad decisions. I've known about a dozen people personally that I have walked away from who decided to screw up their lives.

To be honest if I went to hear about everyone's life story (not that I trust anyone to tell the truth) I see in a day to find if I would be indulging a bad decision...I would never make it to work. Since every dollar that goes out of my hands is one less I have for my own family, I have to play the statistics and only give to the organizations that give a hand up and not a hand out. That way people can give to those so they may become self sufficent with that bit of help, and help those who physically cannot, not just hand money out.

I'll go back to buying all my cool neat stuff...Oh wait, that's another monetary stereotype.
