Default Family friendly Portland suburbs

Hi:

Looking for very safe, family friendly suburbs of Portland with great school system. Preferably within 20-30 minutes to downtown Portland. Price range between 200 - 300 K.

Have read a bit about Tigard and Sherwood.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Ron

I'm from Tigard and can vouch for the quality of life here. It's very nice. From what I've read, Sherwood's schools are performing well, but the city is just a little further from Portland (not much). I think you would do well to end up in either Tigard, Tualatin, or Sherwood. If you find a home in any of these areas, you can't go wrong. Good luck!

Agreed. I lived in Beaverton for 40 years, and we're moving back up to the towns you named as soon as we sell our home down here.

I vote for those, and Newberg, and Banks. Banks is 40 rush hour minutes out of Portland. But Portland ain't a need for Banks, due to the wealth of commerce in the west suburbs.

Hillsboro is actually 4 times better now than it used to be - but is like a hundred thousand people.

Very near it, is one town worth checking out - that's North Plains. I just don't know too many details about it, but am very interested in it.
